“The Confidant – Depression doesn’t discriminate” Campaign wins Bronze at APPIES APAC 2022

Starting this week, MARKETING Magazine will be featuring the Bronze winners of APPIES Malaysia and Asia Pacific 2022 Marketing Campaign Awards by sharing the campaign stories.

Curry Nation Brand Conversations Pvt. Ltd., India awarded Bronze for their campaign with Lokmat Media Pvt. Ltd. under the category of Best in Pro Bono / Festive / Govt / Entertainment.

Their creativity was showcased during the live presentation where they managed to achieve their goals in getting their message across which further led them to win the Bronze trophy.

‘The Confidant’ is a film that is insightful in its content, and impactful in its context that addresses the goal of communicating the need of recognising mental health issue and being aware of it around us.

The film underlines the need of the people, who are combating depression, to have a companion, with whom they can share their loneliness, and their longing. 

It captivates the conflict of the mind, and the confrontation with the soul, beautifully. It is persuasive enough to take action, without being preachy.

This campaign was well received by the audience and garnered a plethora of views. Such was the impact that it was shared across social media platforms – crisscrossing societal, age and gender spectrums.

Additionally, Published on World Mental Health Day, the impact was resounding.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.

Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.

This year’s winners will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies for 21 categories, and 6 special Best of Best categories (red trophies) that require no submissions!

Campaign entries must have run between June 2023 to May 2024
