Fashion Week Asia added to the Agency Asia Media liquidation

In a fresh development, publishing group Agency Asia Media has added the Fashion Week Asia domain to their liquidation of media assets auction beginning Monday.

In an exclusive with Marketing Magazine’s Harmandar “Ham” Singh, the publisher of Agency Asia Magazine, Richard Henderson, announced that in a last-minute decision, he had rolled the valuable domain into the auction of Agency Asia Magazine on 29 November.

Henderson said, “Traditional sponsors of Fashion Week events globally from Sydney to Shanghai like Mercedes, DHL, Vodafone, Canon, Samsung and LVMH (LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) will be pleased to find that they can possess their own showcase. We’re speculating, however, that it will be a Havas Media, IMG or Interpublic Group of Companies that snap this up, as they rep a raft of luxury brands.”

Henderson added, “Regrettably, we were too preoccupied over time to get around to making Fashion Week Asia into the regional fashion and luxury magazine it deserved to be, so to all intents and purposes it is an entirely blank canvas for one of these agencies to create a bespoke showcase of their luxury clients across Asia,”.

“Add Agency Asia Magazine into the mix and you have quite a unique opportunity for one of the big four holding companies and the dozens and dozens of branding, digital, public relations and media agencies in their vertical. A multinational advertising group could knock it out of the ballpark when they had their media team turn these into their own global showcase for outstanding creative, news of their network’s many achievements plus an excellent vehicle for acquisition and pitching.”

Agency Asia Magazine will be auctioned, complete with existing editorial content, social media – and now the inclusion of the domain – along with several other rare properties such as the as part of the sale. The auction will take place online on Cyber Monday, 29th November.
