Best Marketer in Sustainable Brand Marketing: Noreen Sabrina

As many anticipated (and rightly so), Noreen Sabrina Mohd Noor, Group Head and Corporate Communications & Branding Head of EDOTCO Group, won the Marketer of the Year in Sustainable Brand Marketing at the Malaysian CMO Award 2022.

Along with the coveted Gold award, Noreen also received a special mention in the Best Marketer in Sustainable Brand Marketing category.

Noreen is a critical thinker and expert decision-maker who has worked in the fields of increasing a company’s brand equity and reputation, forming strategic relationships and partnerships to ensure the company’s long-term success, and leading organisational change and personnel training to boost productivity.

Currently, Noreen is leading EDOTCO’s efforts to strengthen its brand recognition and transformational projects, such as driving strategic corporate rebranding, assisting with the implementation of a global sustainability agenda, and forging community involvement relationships.

Since she arrived at EDOTCO, the company’s brand value has increased dramatically, and it is now recognised as one of the three Malaysia-based ASEAN unicorns.

Prior to her appointment in September 2021, Noreen served as the General Manager of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), a publicly traded construction and real estate development firm.

Noreen has held positions in the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), where she helped drive the nation’s digital economy agenda, and HSBC Global Resourcing, where she supported multiple Global Shared Services centres in the Southeast Asia region. She has nearly twenty years of experience in integrated brand and strategic communications.

During her ten years at MDEC, Noreen effectively increased its brand value by pushing countrywide initiatives, such as #YouCanDuit, #MyDigitalMaker, #MyCyberSale, eRezeki, eUsahawan, and introducing the DFTZ programme with Alibaba in front of the Prime Minister and Jack Ma.

“Being recognized as one of the twelve Marketers of the Year is a humbling experience that reaffirms my passion for brand building. This honor not only belongs to me but to the talented team and colleagues who have supported and inspired me along the way.

I am incredibly honored for this recognition and will continue to strive for excellence, pushing boundaries, and developing the next succeeding generations of Marketer of the Year in my team.” Noreen mentioned upon receiving her award.

Noreen is a firm believer in brand connection and inventive execution, which contributed to the success of her campaigns at the local and regional levels.
