Wednesday was his last day at Telekom Malaysia and yesterday Datuk Lai Shu Wei started a brand new day at Sime Darby Property Berhad as their Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, reporting to the Group MD.
At TM, as VP and head of marketing for unifi, he also doubled up as CEO of TM Net and CEO of TM Multimedia.
Shu Wei is a celebrated Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and in 2019 was awarded MARKETING Magazine’s ultimate accolade as CMO of The Year.

With over 25 years of experience in branding and marketing in various industries, he was key in the launch on TM’s first mobile service under the brand webe and unifi mobile.
He also worked at Standard Chartered Bank, Maxis and Johnson & Johnson where he scored many firsts: the first credit card to be fully on-boarded digitally, launch of the first iPhone in Malaysia and helped rebrand Hotline Prepaid to become Malaysia’s top lifestyle brand.
A seasoned marketer, Shu Wei is a thought leader in marketing management, business planning, consumer products, CRM, brand management, communications, content businesses, and go-to-market execution.
