Proton appoints m/SIX as its media agency

PROTON has reappointed m/SIX as its media agency, following the final round of pitching.

In March, MARKETING posted that Proton is currently in a creative pitch which had more than ten agencies competing for it. , PROTON appointed essence Burson-Marsteller to manage social media duties for a year. The news came after a pitch held in March and the incumbent was APD, which is still managing website duties for PROTON.

MARKETING spoke to Ellina Roslan Senior Manager, Group Marketing of Proton Holdings Berhad but she declined to comment.

Earlier this month, Proton expects to help bring in an initial investment of RM170 million into the country through collaboration agreements signed between its vendors and their overseas counterparts. The signing of agreements between Malaysian and overseas vendors is the first step in establishing a supplier base capable of meeting the technology and quality standards required to manufacture the next generation of Proton cars to be jointly developed with Geely.
