By The Malketeer

In a bold move that merges the love for technology with the passion for pizza, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia has unveiled an exciting glimpse into the future of delivery—the dxb.

This innovative electric bike not only promises to revolutionise the way pizzas are transported but also introduces a novel concept: a built-in oven on board!

As the CEO of Domino’s Pizza Malaysia, Shamsul Amree, puts it, “Our new e-bike concept, dxb, represents an initial exploration into the future of delivery.”

Features that Set the dxb Apart

The standout feature of the dxb is undoubtedly its built-in fan-forced oven, housed in a temperature-controlled pod that maintains the perfect pizza temperature at 68°C.

This revolutionary addition aims to address a longstanding challenge in pizza deliverykeeping the pizza piping hot and fresh until it reaches the customer’s doorstep.

But that’s not allthe dxb comes equipped with a sophisticated suspension system designed to reduce g-force by an impressive 67%. This innovation ensures that pizzas arrive intact and in optimal condition, eliminating the risk of damaged goods during transit.

The fusion of cutting-edge technology and practical design elements positions the dxb as a game-changer in the food delivery industry.

The Vision Behind the dxb

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia’s CEO, Shamsul Amree, expressed the company’s commitment to staying ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of technology and innovation. “Malaysians have an enduring love for our delicious pizzas,” he noted.

“This innovative effort is part of our preparation for the future, and we are excited about the opportunity for the Malaysian market to be among the few to experience this initial concept.”

The Road Ahead

While the dxb has made its debut as a promising glimpse into the future, the company plans to gradually introduce it to 12 markets, including Malaysia. The timeline for this rollout remains undisclosed, leaving pizza enthusiasts eager to witness the dxb cruising along local roads in the coming months.

Domino’s Group Chief Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Officer Marika Stegmeijer said that by investing in electric delivery modes, Domino’s aims to reduce its carbon footprint and lead the charge towards a greener and cleaner future.

“Our new e-bike concept is a testament to our dedication to delivering not only great-tasting pizzas, but also making a positive difference for our people, customers, food, communities and, of course, our environment.”

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia’s foray into the “future of delivery” with the dxb showcases a remarkable fusion of culinary delight and technological innovation.

As the dxb prepares to hit the roads, it leaves Malaysians anticipating not just the arrival of our favourite pizzas but also a new era in the way we experience food delivery.

The future, it seems, is not just hot; it’s a perfectly baked 68°C.

As the Pizza Jedi’s say: “May the perfectly delivered pizza be with you.”
