Hot on the heels of winning a Grand Prix at Spikes Asia, Directors Think Tank (DTT) have just picked up three Bronze at Adfest 2021.
Directors Think Tank picked up the three Bronze at Adfest 2021 for Coway’s ‘Change your life today’ campaign directed by Sling Ng for Grey Malaysia (Film Craft Category-Cinematography), ‘Little Light’ (Citra Pariwara 2020) animated film directed by Yuer Leong and Lim Nin for Hakuhodo Indonesia (Commissioned Spot-New Director) and Libresse ‘Know your V’ directed by Carolyn Chon for Havas Immerse, Malaysia (Category-Use of music track)
The Coway film uses water as a metaphor to show healthy living, quality drinking water and clean air necessities should be integral parts of our lives.
In preparation for the shoot, DTT carried out extensive research to understand the risks associated with free diving and the extensive training that professional athletes undergo. DTT spent a lot of time engaging with the actual team of Malaysian free divers who were also featured as talents in the film.
The ‘Little Light’ animated 5min film for Indonesia’s Citra Pariwara 2020 is a narrative of hope through a little story, of a little boy and the little fireflies giving the audience hope and warmth during this difficult time.
‘Know your V’ is an insight built on recognizing the complexities of being a woman especially as many Malaysian women have minimal understanding of their V-zone area, due to negative cultural pressure or taboos, unnecessary shaming and general uncertainty surrounding the subject.
Stephen Douglas, Executive Director at Directors Think Tank says, “Congrats to the teams involved with these wins and this also highlights our commitment to helping put Malaysian production values on the global map”.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
