Award winning marketer Sutapa propels DIA Brands onto new growth trajectory

Sutapa Bhattacharya has joined DIA Brands, one of the leading brand consultancies in the region as Managing Director.

Moving on from her previous stint in TNB, where she successfully strengthened the brand to rise from 24th in the global ranking of utility companies to 16th and improved brand value by +70%, she recently clinched the Chief Marketing Officer of the Year title 2021 at the Malaysian CMO Awards.

Sutapa brings with her 25 years of experience in marketing, communication, and branding, including 13 years as Head of Strategy & Brand Consulting at Leo Burnett Malaysia. DIA Brands Consultants which started in London, is now a regional network in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Indonesia for over 25 years.

The consultancy is known for its ability to build effective brand strategies through a unique approach based on sound business understanding, and engaging innovative ideas.

As the pandemic begins to ease and businesses begin to resume growth and expansion plans to capture new opportunities in the market, Sutapa tells MARKETING Malaysia that she believes there is potential to partner with businesses to reframe their offer and translate this into forward growth.

A seasoned marketer and industry trainer, Sutapa opens a new runway of growth for the Group with her wealth of experience and proven brand architecture skills.

“As we emerge from the pandemic our aim is to review, reframe and regrow businesses, to build market share, and create business advantage,” she says.
