FINTECH ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA Signs MoU with Award Winning Consulta-gency, Ampersand Advisory Sdn Bhd

The FINTECH ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA (FAOM) and award winning consultan-gency Ampersand Advisory signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to mark the beginning of a mutual desire to spur and support Fintech innovation and awareness through the provision of media communications services such as AI, digital marketing, data-driven branding and communication strategies in Malaysia.

This MoU expands the offerings of the FAOM to its members and encourages the discovery and introduction of a new suite of expert services that fintech startups can tap on easily to help increase their brand awareness that will help with series fund-raising and grow their presence in a smart, effective manner.

Ampersand Advisory joins the FAOM as an ‘Associate’ member and as its first marketing and communication MoU partner.

Its client portfolio and team experience encompasses financial institutions, e-payments, e-wallets as well as digital land banking and Web 3.0.

With a shared vision of being an enabler and catalyst for growth for Fintech companies, the MoU coverage is focused consulting, e-commerce, marketing and communications, design and advertising solutions as well as investment service through the use of digital brand building and marketing tools such as data consulting, AI-driven algorithms and growth hacking.

The mission of the FAOM remains steadfast as the national platform to advance Malaysia to be a leading Fintech hub. In 2022 alone, FAOM has inked close to 10 strategic partnerships with various institutions and companies as a move to deliver value and provide the tools, resources and opportunities for its members to thrive in the constantly evolving financial services ecosystem.

Wilson Beh, President Fintech Association of Malaysia, said: “I welcome this important initiative which signifies a new relationship between a marketing and communication company, Ampersand Advisory and FAOM. There is always a need for Fintech startups to venture into digital marketing, branding and media communications as they grow their businesses.

With this MoU in place, our members now tap into Ampersand Advisory’s extensive network and expertise which will be able to propose business solutions that will help propel their relevant business objectives.”

Sandeep Joseph, CEO and CO-Founder, Ampersand Advisory said:  “In a short span of 5 years, we have grown dramatically, and we have seen Malaysia change, becoming more digital. Our growth has coincided with the growth of Fintech in the daily lives of Malaysians.

E-wallets, e-payments and e-commerce are here to stay. As a consulta-gency, our aim is to help our clients in driving reputation, sales, profitability, and, in some cases, helping them in fund raising.

Over the years, we have observed that Fintech companies in the startup stages are excellent in the hardware, techdev and operational services but at times lack the support and knowledge of powerful positioning, messaging, public relations and digital narratives to their audiences.

We hope that through this MoU, Ampersand Advisory will be able to help FAOM members build their narrative with compelling brand communication strategies through its host of consulta-gency services”

The MoU signing took place at the Ampersand Office and was signed by Wilson Beh, President of the Fintech Association of Malaysia and Sandeep Joseph, CEO and Cofounder of Ampersand Advisory.
