APPIES Malaysia 2021 announces 69 shortlisted winners

APPIES Malaysia 2021 has released the official list of shortlisted winners who will take the stage at the APPIES 2021 Festival this weekend for live presentations of their campaigns. This year, out of almost 100 entries, 69 campaigns have been selected for the next round.

“Congratulations to all the campaigns that have been shortlisted this year, you will now star at the APPIES 2021 Festival this weekend,” said Chairman of APPIES Malaysia, Professor Harmandar Singh. “The shortlisted campaigns cover major industry categories like Consumer Services, Business Services, Consumer Durables, Food and Beverage, Non-Food FMCG and Pro Bono.“ 

For the first ever, organizers of the APPIES festival have announced that the live judging sessions happening on 22 and 23 May, will be aired exclusively on the official awards website and is free for public viewing. Case studies will be presented to a panel of 35 judges to decide if the campaign wins Gold, Silver or Bronze in the various categories. The awards for Best Presenter will also be determined then.

“Nowhere in Malaysia can you experience this much marketing knowledge at one go, some call it a marketing MBA packed cleverly into a 2-day schedule,” Harmandar added.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.

Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.

This year’s winners will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies for 21 categories, and 6 special Best of Best categories (red trophies) that require no submissions!

Campaign entries must have run between June 2023 to May 2024
