LaLiga and Sambill Park are proud to present the second edition of the LaLiga Youth Tournament, to be held on 23 and 24 July at the Kopa Arena in Penang.
The tournament, which has the support of the Malaysian government through its Ministry of Tourism, will bring together teams in the U8, U10, U12, U14, and U16 categories, from all over the ASEAN Countries. Participating countries are Thailand, Philippines, Laos, and Indonesia.
As well as fighting to become the champion of one of the most prestigious tournaments in local grassroots football, the best player in the tournament will also have the chance to attend one of the LaLiga Camps programs in Madrid.
“LaLiga is proud to be able to contribute and participate directly in the development of grassroots football in Malaysia. We also believe that LaLiga Grassroots programs, such as LaLiga Camps, can be very beneficial for young players who want to take a step further in their development. That is why we are convinced that the combination of both concepts, tournament in Malaysia and stay in Madrid, will serve to create new opportunities for the development of football here,” said Adrian Prol, LaLiga’s delegate in Malaysia.
“LaLiga Youth Tournament will provide a real opportunity to many ASEAN footballers to experience the real football atmosphere with more than 8 countries’ representatives already joining the tournament in July. We offer not only the experience to the sports tourists but also to offer them to witness our rich culture and heritage as Penang is the top tourist destination in the world. We want to showcase the warmth of the Malaysians through this tournament,” added Adrian.
The tournament, held in the Malaysian State, Penang, the prominent city of UNESCO World Heritage Site will count on the presence, among others, Mr. Daniel Wong, Managing Director of Sambill Park (M) Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Adrian Prol, LaLiga Delegates of Malaysia among other VIPs

LaLiga Youth Tournament will be the benchmark for SP to venture into the event-organizing business towards the South East Asian countries.
