MDA begins ticket sales for 2022 “d Awards” show


The Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) is proud to begin the sale of tickets for the “d Awards 2022”, Malaysia’s sole digital media and advertising awards that recognises both publishers and agencies that embrace and use digital technologies

d Awards is now recognized by RECMA as it has been listed in the Malaysia report. Every d Award won will contribute towards an agency’s ranking by RECMA from 2020.

MDA has also partnered with the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), in order to elevate the visibility of d Awards 2022 and broaden the reach of the digital community.

The announcement of d Awards winners is set for center stage on May 11th 2022 at the Ruyi and Lynn Restaurant, BSC KL. All category winners for Best Digital Publishers, Platform Development, Social Media, People Category and other 13 categories will be announced live at the venue.

The price per ticket for Early Bird Special is RM215, and RM250 for Walk-Ins. Seats are limited, so don’t miss your chance to attend!

Commenting on the new additions, President of MDA Nicholas Sagau said, “One of MDA’s goals for this year’s awards is to recognise the industry’s hard work in delivering impactful work during the pandemic. We received one of the highest numbers of submissions for the ‘How Businesses Beat Covid’ award, and many of the submissions were creative and made innovative use of data technology”

Eileen Ooi, the Chairperson of the Organising Committee for d Awards, said to MARKETING Magazine, “Despite challenges of the pandemic, we saw strong submissions with total entries received of 149. This year we are also continuing to push d Awards to new heights with a revised minimum scoring criteria for trophy winners to raise the quality of d Award winners in line with our theme Level Up. Don’t miss out on the first physical award show in 2022!”

The d Awards saw the following additions in 2022:

  • Change in the online submission entry form upload format. 
  • Rules and Eligibility have been updated.
  • The judging process has been updated. 
  • NEW Category – How Businesses Beat Covid. This category will recognize and reward creative and innovative thinking, swift action, where a business has demonstrated a change in model or product to enhance experiences or in response to Covid-19. The category is open to brands, agencies, and publishers who have pivoted their business.
