KPJ Damansara deals with taboo topics in CNY video

KPJ Damansara Specialist hospital deals with some taboo topics in its Chinese New Year video this year.

The advertisement’s creative director Lee Tak Shune said that Chinese New Year is traditionally a time for those celebrating to wish each other great wealth and health. A major taboo during this time includes discussions of bad things, including illnesses. In fact, some even believe one shouldn’t be taking medication during CNY for fear of spending the year in ill health.

“KPJ Damansara, Your Maker and Think Tank productions decided to take this head-on with a thought-provoking ad that shows a family unwilling to come to terms with an uninvited guest their daughter brings home for the festivities,” said Lee
