Tay Guan Hin, a renowned figure in the creative world has been appointed as the Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Singapore. to lead the creative team and forward the work after founding and heading the creative at TGH Collective for the last 2 years.
Guan is known for matching flawless execution with inspiring creative ideas and is tasked to lead BBDO’s creative team and forward the work after founding and heading the creative at TGH Collective for the last 2 years.
With over 28 years of advertising experience in APAC and solving business challenges with his creative work Guan joins BBDO at a critical time, with huge growth potential as businesses begin to reopen in Singapore in accordance to phase 2 of the country’s circuit breaker.
“While everyone is going back to work, I am looking ahead to ‘Forward The Work’ and while I enjoyed my journey in TGH Collective, joining one of the most creative networks in the world is not an opportunity to be missed,” Guan said. “I’m excited to start a new narrative, to create innovative solutions that will solve the client’s business effectively through the strength of BBDO Asia’s network by being a member of their Creative Council.”

According to a press release from BBDO’s communications team, with a strong network across Asia, the company benefits from “having a resource treasure chest of creative and strategic talent across the region Guan Hin will now be a part of.”
Guan will be joining BBDO Singapore’s management team which includes Managing Director of BBDO Singapore, Nick Morrell and Head of Strategy BBDO Asia, Andy Wilson.
While leading the company’s creative team from the region’s headquarters, Guan together with Nick and Andy will leverage on the potential of the network both locally and regionally.
“I am absolutely thrilled Guan Hin is joining us”, said Nick. “I’ve admired both his work and his commitment to raising the quality of Singapore’s creative output for some time now and can’t wait to start working together”. Prior to founding TGH Collective, Guan worked in several creative hot shops, as Regional CCO at JWT and at a number of 4A agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett.
An adman at heart, he is no stranger to the advertising world and looks forward to returning. In his work, Guan builds on insightful creativity, always considering digital, innovative engagement and virtual storytelling. In recognition for his contribution to the industry, Guan has received over 300 creative awards (international, regional and local), and was the first Asian in SEA to receive the honour to be the Cannes Lions, Jury President.
Guan has also partnered with MARKETING Magazine to conduct workshops on vertical storytelling, a concept he believes will dominate how content is created and received as more people use their mobile phones exclusively to consume the content.
