Gobind to officiate CMO event on Nov 16

The Malaysian Chief Marketing Officers (CMO) Awards will be officiated by YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications & Multimedia Malaysia on November 16 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.

YB Gobind hit the ground running from day one as Malaysia’s Minister of Communications & Multimedia. Since Pakatan Harapan took over in May, his ministry has reduced prices of entry-level fixed broadband packages by at least 34%. For the first time in Malaysia, 100Mbps packages are available for less than RM100 and entry-level 30Mbps packages at RM79 per month.

More than 100 nominations have been received for the inaugural Malaysian CMO Awards across 30 categories and the winners will be announced on November 5, prior to the actual awards evening on November 16.

The CMO Awards will acknowledge and celebrate Malaysia’s Best Marketers, including rising stars in the industry, and is judged by an eminent panel including Renzo Viegas, Advisor to the Group CEO of CIMB Bank; Datuk Yvonne Chia, Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad; Yeoh Chen Chow, Co-founder of Fave; Datuk William Ng, President of Enterprise Asia & Group Publisher of SME magazine, and more..
