The Malaysian debut of Tesla, undoubtedly the most celebrated EV brand in the world, heralds a new era for the nation’s automotive landscape.

The arrival of the Model Y further emphasizes Malaysia’s commitment to promoting low-carbon mobility, while supporting the growth of the EV industry.

The appointment of GO Communications by Tesla to spearhead this colossal launch signifies a grand milestone for the agency, underscoring its position as an industry leader in crafting compelling and innovative campaigns and strategies.

The launch of the Tesla Y at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur last Thursday followed months of eager anticipation by the media, industry and government leaders, and motoring and EV enthusiasts alike. The event showcased the cutting-edge technology and sustainable innovation that have become synonymous with Tesla.

Designed and built as Tesla’s first mass-market sports utility electric vehicle, Tesla’s Model Y represents Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The Model Y combines range, performance, safety, and technology.

Being a mid-size SUV, the Model Y offers 2.1 cubic meters of cargo space, providing versatile seating and storage for up to five passengers with their belongings. With ultra-responsive motors, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, boasting a range of up to 533 km (WLTP). Starting at RM199,000, Model Y will begin delivery to Malaysian customers in early 2024.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.

Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.
