In a span of just a couple of days a mind-bending disaster has swept over Malaysia. Lives have been lost, homes demolished, streets flooded while almost unprecedented mass evacuations have taken place across the country.
Disasters such as this are times of disruption, trauma and horror. It is also in these moments that present an opportunity where we all can and simply must come together to help each other as equals.
In the aftermath of these floods, an overwhelming number of people and communities have responded to the disaster. Flood survivors have received a helping hand from friends and neighbours in fixing their homes or sharing food and warmth.
Those with habitable houses opened their doors to welcome their neighbours, family and friends; forging ties of mutual aid along the way.
Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI), was prompt in coming forward and doing their part to help the community. Over the last couple of days, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI) has donated, and will be donating over RM500,000 worth of Dutch Lady products in various locations like Shah Alam, Klang, Lembah Pantai, Hulu Langat and Negeri Sembilan.
They have also collaborated with partners such as McDonalds to distribute their products as relief to those impacted by the floods.
DLMI’s Blue Brigade which consists members of their Employee Volunteer Programme, mobilised a team to distribute Dutch Lady products to those in need as a prompt response to the flood.
The immediate response to disaster is never an individual effort, but rather created by Malaysians helping each other. This is the epitome of Kita Jaga Kita.
We will come out of this together and stronger than ever, as long as we have each other.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
