TadashiIshii(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – Gross profit for the Dentsu Group’s 2015 results grew 12.6% year on year, with organic gross profit increasing by 7%.

This was driven by 9.4% organic gross profit growth in Dentsu’s international business outside of Japan: Dentsu Aegis Network.

Dentsu Aegis posted an increase of gross profit of 20.6% in total: 24.6% for the Americas and 23.5% for Asia-Pacific.

Dentsu Group said it made a record number of acquisitions during 2015, around half of which were digital businesses. Out of 36 in total, 34 were made by Dentsu Aegis Network.

Tadashi Ishii, President and Chief Executive of Dentsu (picture), says, “In 2015, the third year of our medium-term management plan ‘Dentsu 2017 and Beyond,’ we continued to make steady progress in delivering on our strategic objectives, while producing another peer group-leading performance.

He adds,”We will continue to invest in our business, particularly in integrating our digital capabilities, to ensure we take advantage of the opportunities that will arise in an increasingly fast-paced digital economy.”

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
