Celebrating Mother’s Day amid Covid-19

Amidst Covid-19 and MCO, Motherhood has embarked on remote shooting of its Mother’s day video by collaborating with its community of supermoms and sharing real footages of their inspiring, heart-warming
moments.

As many families are unable to celebrate Mother’s Day together this year, we develop this video with actual footage of unconditional love submitted by 22 moms.

There’s always that ONE person who shows up when you need a little help, need guidance, yearn for comfort, can’t solve a problem, feeling a little down, want to share your happiness, when you need her the most, that ONE person you need the most is always there.

You may not get to see this special person in this video, but you can certainly feel her love.

The video is a recognition of the unconditional love given by mothers all around the world. It depicts how kids of all ages rely on their moms for a great deal of things from food, bath time, sleep, study, playtime, fight, sick, comfort, helpless and more. This is even more apparent now during the restricted movement period, as mothers need to attend to their kids and families around the clock.

Besides this, Motherhood also drives an initiative to help families celebrate their Mother’s Day meaningfully. Given that movement restrictions has been extended further, Motherhood collaborates with fresh vegetable suppliers to deliver 30 bouquet of fresh vegetables to its community of supermoms to show appreciation and support.

Aside from the supermoms, we could not leave out the superdads who joined us in sharing creative ideas on how they celebrate Mother’s Day amidst Covid-19. We have interesting ideas coming from Dato’ Fazley Yaakob, who will be creating a Sweet Confection for his beloved wife, Datin Azrene Ahmad, and JJ, renowned Hitz FM Morning Crew radio DJ for 14 years, who shared that he will be giving 100% focus on his amazing wife as well as more space to do her own thing on this special day.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
