APPIES MALAYSIA 2020 GOES CONTACTLESS

First, we pray you are well and your loved ones are safe from harm.

The Infographic below displays the modifications we have made with the APPIES Marketing Awards judging, timing and event flow.

We are adapting and investing in APPIES as the national emergency scenario unfolds every day.

Judging will be done online, I have experienced the system first-hand when I judged the EPICA Awards in Colombo earlier this month.

This process mirrors exactly what we’d be doing in a face to face situation; everything is done remotely deploying the best technology available. All judges have agreed to do the judging from home.

The awards event on May 14 (7.30pm – 9.20pm) only if things are right, but we’ll finalise on that later; for now it’s a continuity plan.

MERCY Malaysia’s mobile Covid-19 unit will be on standby for full screening protocol of all guests, plus social distancing and hygienic measures. We tested this successfully a month ago here.

FYI, I also spend time monitoring communications from our virtual “War Room” at MERCY Malaysia. So for those who’d like to donate to our frontline war efforts at MERCY Malaysia can do so here

Every little bit helps.

MARKETING Magazine is not responsible for the content of external sites.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
