Printing ink may run dry if MCO extended

As two printing ink suppliers are not allowed to operate during the government’s movement control order, local print media companies may have a problem publishing if the government extends the MCO beyond March 31.

Sin Chew Daily learns that many print media companies have enough printing ink enough only to last until the end of this month.

Suppliers of printing raw materials have been banned from operating since the first day of the movement control order.

From what we understand, the two local printing ink suppliers have already applied to the ministry of international trade and industry to continue operating during the MCO.

The application of one supplier has been rejected while the other has yet to receive a reply.
