Maxis has narrowed down four network groups for its integrated pitch. The four are incumbent IPG Mediabrands, Dentsu Aegis Network, Publicis and Team WPP.
Maxis called for a review in February as the telco plans to strengthen its position for both fixed and mobile lines.
The telco currently also works with IPG’s Ensemble Worldwide and Initiative, Publicis’s Leo Burnett, Kingdom Digital, APD and SearchGuru.
More recently, Maxis has also rolled out its first commercial Narrowband-Internet of Things service in selected areas in Malaysia, which include Cyberjaya, Penang, Kuching, Putrajaya, Johor Bahru, and KLCC.
Businesses will now be able to deploy industrial IoT applications to form new data streams, enabling actionable insights by connecting simple devices such as sensors.
According to Maxis, the technology will power up big data and enable advanced data analytics to help make decisions in areas such as potential cost savings, improved efficiency and new business opportunities.
Marketing magazine has reached out to Maxis for a comment on the above.
