The motoring magazine returns by popular demand
After an 18-month print hiatus, TopGear Malaysia has rebooted its widely-acclaimed monthly publication in a brand-new digital format.
The September 2021 issue is the first dedicated Digital Edition of TopGear Malaysia in the 15-year history of the title, which is published by TG Automotive Media Sdn Bhd under licence from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The magazine is hosted on all-in-one digital publishing platform Joomag and picks up where the print publication left off, with popular segments such as Trending, Retro, Drives and Pace Notes making a highly anticipated comeback.
Feature stories continue to form a signature section for the Digital Edition of TopGear Malaysia. For this month, the cars that grace these pages include the all-new Lamborghini Countach, Ford Bronco and the all-electric Porsche Taycan as driven in the Sepang International Circuit before the FMCO was enforced.
“Our last issue was published in March 2020 before Covid-19 forced us to cease all printing activity indefinitely. Since then, we have diverted our attention to our digital platforms such as our official website TopGear.com.my, as well as our social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube,” said Louis Foo, General Manager of TG Automotive Media Sdn Bhd.
“Our transition from print to digital has been largely successful, with captive audiences working from home accelerating the growth of our online readership in the past year”, Louis added. “However, we continue to receive numerous requests by loyal readers to reboot the magazine. Given the current landscape, we hope the new Digital Edition of TopGear Malaysia can reacquaint readers with our visually-rich magazine experience while staying in line with the latest trend of offering digital solutions in a rapidly evolving environment.”
