Top NFT Speakers and Partners take the stage at M1NTED

A dozen of the world’s best minds were set to convene at Malaysia’s first-ever NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) conference and festival – M1NTED, that took place from August 22nd to August 28th, 2022.

Headliners included Animoca, Decentraland, and Sandbox, who are among the biggest names in the Web3 world, as they led the full lineup of local and international speakers, with their live talk sessions, panel discussions, and keynote speeches.

Combining the best of both worlds, namely a festival showcase and a conference, M1NTED featured specially-curated experiences between August 22 and August 26, before culminating with the conference on August 27 and August 28.

Event organizer The Livescape Group has been instrumental in its collective effort to secure the most reputed names in the Web3 world, with the intention of empowering attendees with the right understanding and knowledge of the space to make more informed decisions for themselves when entering into the Web3 world .

The Livescape Group CEO Iqbal Ameer said he was humbled by the presence of these high-profile and international speakers to Malaysian shores to meet local NFT heroes.

“We are thrilled and privileged to have in attendance some of the biggest names in the industry at M1NTED. As leading lights of the Web3 world, audiences would find their insights and experience indelible to understanding the potential of the space and the freedom it provides,” said Iqbal.

For the 5-day festival showcased from August 22 to August 26, each day was dedicated to a designated pillar that was hosted in the following venues:

Day 1, August 22: Art at Lot 10 Rooftop

Day 2, August 23: Fashion at Kedai KL

Day 3, August 24: Music at Maveriq Studios

Day 4, August 25: Gaming at Battle Arena

Day 5, August 26: F&B at Tiffin at the Yard

MARKETING Magazine had the privilege of attending the session on the fifth day dated 26th of August 2022 that took place at Tiffin at the Yard. Najihah Nasrin, Content Officer at MARKETING Magazine, shares her views:

“First and foremost, hats off to the team as they did a great job in the sense that they managed to achieve the goal that has been set which is to educate the public on the space per say as to prepare them before entering the Web3 world. Honestly speaking, I had zero knowledge on NFTs and Web3 before attending the press conference and I also had negative perceptions towards these platforms that I believe many others out there have as well.”

“After sitting through the whole session, despite it being a lot to process I can now say that it is an evolved platform that now allows individuals to create their own digital identity that plays a role as their identification card but in the digital world. Therefore, it all belongs to us and about our data being exposed or leaked you need not worry about that as it turns out that the blockchains that are available amongst the NFTs are meant to secure it.”

“Even though it still has it’s downsides, experts that are competent in these subjects are still working on it to make it an impeccable platform that will further ease individuals around the world. In a nutshell, I think that the public should give the NFTs and Web3 a go as it is proven to be efficient and secures all of our personal data that is only accessible to us and those who were given permission.”

Attendees also engaged with the speakers and joined networking opportunities over the weekend.

Weekday entry to M1NTED was free, while weekend entry required a ticket. Prices started at RM150 and tickets were available at Get-Protocol and Pentas
