Tiger brings on the Ong with its 2021 CNY campaign launch

When the festive season such as Chinese New Year (CNY) rolls around, Tiger Beer is known for organising grand launch events, to auspiciously kick-start the holiday.

Despite not being able to organise physical events this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tiger Malaysia brought the excitement to its media and trade partners’ homes with a hand delivered Tiger Ong Box. 

The Tiger ONG Box contained everything guests would experience at one of Tiger’s CNY launches – auspicious greetings, delectable Chinese New Year snacks, exciting games, exclusive goodies, and, you guessed it – Tiger beer!

The box also included an Augmented Reality (AR) twist, to unbox the parcel while watching Managing Director of Heineken Malaysia, Roland Bala appear on the virtual stage to greet you. The AR experience was made more interactive with a free spin on the Tiger ‘ONG’ Wheel which offers the chance to win prizes.

Aside from that, for the very first time, Tiger has introduced limited edition festive can designs in Malaysia, which come in the auspicious colors, red and gold. The characters on the two sets of Tiger Beer and Tiger Crystals, when combined spell the greeting, ‘Wang Shi Ru Yi’ which means ‘Be Prosperous As You Wish’. 

Customers will receive the limited edition cans when they purchase a crate each of Tiger Beer and Tiger Crystal at participating off-trade outlets and they will be available up till 10 February or while stocks last.
