Publicis Groupe Malaysia appoints Sudarshan Saha as MD

Publicis Groupe Malaysia has appointed Sudarshan Saha as Managing Director – Media & Digital. As managing director, he will be responsible for driving the business growth of its marquee brands and capabilities, specifically Starcom, Zenith,  Spark Foundry, Performics, Digitas and PMX. He will also be in charge of integrating Publics Media capabilities across the client eco-system to create a seamless, end-to-end  consumer experience. 

Prior to the appointment, Sudarshan was managing director of Mindshare Vietnam and was with the WPP group for the past 11 years, seven and a half of which were in the ASEAN region. Before that, he worked in various roles in broadcast media and the brand/media function in the BFSI sector. 

Sudarshan will be reporting to Neil Hudspeth, CEO of Publicis Groupe Malaysia, with regional  reporting to Ian Loon, CEO – Media & Digital for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. 

“Connecting the growth dots for our clients across a diversified  platform world is imperative to help accelerate their growth,” Neil said. “I am delighted that we are bringing Sudarshan  into the Malaysian Publicis Groupe family to help us accelerate this connectivity.” 

To achieve the company’s objectives, Sudarshan will lead a newly configured team of senior leaders and digital experts such as, Piyee Wong,  Randolph Tan, May Har Siew, Karan Tyagi, Vinod Kumar, Shelly Ng and Ugandhar Pilla. According to a statement by Publicis Groupe Malaysia, the team includes some new hires and veterans in the Publicis Groupe network and the Malaysian media  community. 

“I am  excited to join Publicis at a time when the client and the market demand for a consolidated approach to  media, creative, data and tech are at an all-time high,” Sudarshan said. “I am keenly looking forward to partnering with the leadership team of Publicis in delivering the “Power of One” vision of driving synergies across the  Groupe’s offering to help drive our clients’ business.”
