Malaysia’s largest and leading integrated media group, Media Prima, announced new leadership appointments for its radio platform RIPPLE, today. The appointments are Nazri Noran as Chief Executive Officer and Aaron Pinto as Chief Content Officer, effective 1 June 2021. To further accelerate RIPPLE’s business turnaround, the Group has also appointed Datuk Jake Abdullah as a consultant to RIPPLE.
Nazri has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. From his broad and extensive experience in the radio broadcast industry, he is known for specializing in creating content that resonates with the local audience. He most recently served as Senior Assistant Vice President of Astro Radio Malay and Tamil where he headed its radio brands ERA, Sinar, Gegar, ZAYAN and Raaga. Nazri began his career with Astro Radio in 2002 where he served various roles with hitz FM, Xfresh FM and Sinar FM. In his new role in Media Prima, Nazri is in charge of the overall strategy and operations of RIPPLE to further strengthen its position as a leading radio network.
On the other hand, Aaron, who will report to Nazri, has over 26 years in the radio industry. He was involved in transforming radio brands and products to revive listenership and revenue growth and was previously the Head of Content for Astro Radio where he led the development of content and talent strategies for 12 Astro Radio brands. Aaron also led the Astro Radio team in its digital transformation initiatives which involved revamping its entire content ecosystem to develop a new suite of audio products and services to grow its digital listening.
Datuk Jake is a veteran in the media and broadcast industry with over 20 years experience in setting up several award-winning and market-leading radio stations around Asia. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Pyjama Media Sdn Bhd and was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Astro Radio. As a consultant to RIPPLE, Datuk Jake will provide consultancy and assist in content, branding and audience strategies.

The Group also announced that the former Chief Executive Officer of RIPPLE, Seelan Paul, has been transferred to Media Prima Television Networks and has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of ntv7 effective 1 May 2021.
