Lion & Lion appoints new Business Director to spearhead growth in Malaysia

Lion & Lion has appointed Wai Sim Liew as Business Director of Malaysia to oversee the creative agency’s client servicing in the market. In her role, she will oversee the client service department to further build on the agency’s dedication towards helping ambitious brands unlock growth.

As per Lion & Lion’s “creatively-driven, digital-first” commitment, Wai Sim will be taking a focused look at strengthening how the agency delivers work for its clients, while ensuring that creativity and sound strategy remains at the core of all activities.

She will be reporting to Jeppe Carlsen, the Managing Director of Malaysia.

Wai Sim brings with her 14 years of experience in the communications, advertising and media industries. Prior to joining Lion & Lion, she built her career in other agencies such as Publicis, Leo Burnett, BBDO/Proximity and most recently, Ogilvy, where she was a Client Service Director.

While at Proximity, Wai Sim transformed the agency’s digital arm from an initial focus strictly on digital projects, into a more diverse service that offers clients integrated solutions to their business needs with digital expertise at the core.

Throughout her career, Wai Sim has worked on or managed accounts of notable consumer and corporate brands. Her extensive client experience includes Coca-Cola, Citibank, McDonald’s, Nestlé, Celcom, Samsung, Guinness, AXA , AIG , VISA and many others.

Her success has been acknowledged in the form of awards in the creative and effectiveness front such as APAC Effies, Spikes, Webby Awards, Digital Asia Festival Awards, Marketing Excellence Awards and the Creativity International Awards.
