What’s new? Lion & Lion appoints new executive creative director

Jonathan Crawford starts as Executive Creative Director at digital marketing agency Lion & Lion, a new position created by the agency.

The role is a key part of Lion & Lion’s strategy to grow regional as well as local creative capabilities, and further strengthen its position across
Asia.

Recent hires include Aji Bekti as Creative Director in Indonesia and Huy Tuan as Creative Lead in Vietnam. Anthea Kahn, Chief Operating Officer at Lion & Lion, said,

“Having Jonathan onboard will strengthen our position in the region and our creative competencies across the organisation.
Jonathan will be instrumental in making sure Lion & Lion has the right skills in-house to ensure we deliver strategic and impactful digital marketing to our clients.”

Besides developing Lion & Lion’s internal creative capabilities, Jonathan will be focusing on strengthening Lion & Lion’s position as a partner that delivers not only outstanding creative work but impactful results closely integrated with strategic thinking.

Having previously worked for The Formery and Nomads Agency in Amsterdam, Jonathan brings more than 15 years of experience from the advertising industry. Clients in his past portfolio include Danone, Adidas, Emirates, Guerrilla Games and Nikon to name a few.

His creative work has been recognised by several award bodies including Creative Circle, D&AD and the Cannes Advertising Festival.

TIME TO ENTER APPIES

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.

Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.

This year’s winners will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies for 21 categories, and 6 special Best of Best categories (red trophies) that require no submissions!

Campaign entries must have run between June 2024 to May 2025
