Kellogg’s signs regional social media retainer with Lion & Lion

Creatively-driven, digital-first agency Lion & Lion has partnered with multinational food company Kellogg’s to develop its social media channels as part of a retainer account. Lion & Lion will manage the company’s brands on social media across five markets, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Under this partnership, Lion & Lion will help Kellogg’s elevate its social community presence through a unified social media marketing strategy. The agency has a track record of experience in engaging online communities for consumer brands and building sustainable communication through social media. For Kellogg’s, the approach involves market and category research to understand the local audience, content planning and seeding, and the development of creative brand assets relevant to each market.

“We are very honored by the great show of trust that Kellogg’s has shown us by consolidating all the work with one agency and selecting us as their first regional partner. We have recently seen an uptake in clients who find our regional hub and spoke model practical as we can deliver seamlessly as one business unit across the entire region,” said Jeppe Carlsen, Managing Director of Lion & Lion, Malaysia, ”

“The objective is to drive consumers to see Kellogg’s as a necessity in their grocery lists by delivering the message of flexibility of usage, the healthy nature of its products, and overall positive appeal to each member of the family. Hence, we are applying our expertise in creating meaningful conversations with audiences to increase Kellogg’s brand equity in this mobile and social media-driven world,” he added.

Sanjib Bose, Marketing Director (CMO) of Southeast Asia, the Kellogg Company, explained the importance of Southeast Asia to the company as a key growth market. “We have been continuously building the right portfolio of plant-based nutritious products and future-ready capabilities to serve our consumers with delightful experiences in this market,” he said.
