Havas celebrates its launch in Malaysia with a big regional win

Havas media village(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – It was a double celebration for Havas Media Group with the agency celebrating its Malaysian launch and being appointed regional media agency-of- record for Lenovo following a competitive pitch.

The account, which is worth over US$ 10 million, will span across five countries in Southeast Asia – Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam, and will cover the full range of offline and online media strategy, planning and buying. The incumbent on the business was MEC & Zenith Optimedia.

The agency also recently celebrated the official launch of its Malaysia operations at a grand event last Wednesday September 28th, at Jaya One, with Alfonso Rodés Vilà, Global CEO of Havas Media Group, and Vishnu Mohan CEO of Havas Media Group, Asia Pacific as chief guests.

Helmed by Andreas Vogiatzakis, who recently joined the company, the fully owned Havas Group operation launched in a state-of-the art Havas Village. The Village model, organized to promote seamless collaboration between media and creative teams, has already been implemented in 45 cities.

The Malaysia office now also houses the creative arm, Havas Malaysia and Havas Group’s pure player specialist brands Affiperf (programmatic), Socialyse (social media), Mobext (mobile) and Ecselis (online performance marketing brand).

Commenting on the launch, Alfonso Rodés Vilà, the global CEO of Havas Media Group said:
