Astro Radio continues to lead with 15.3 million listeners

Astro Radio remains at the forefront of Malaysian radio listenership for all languages according to the latest GfK Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RAM).

Based on the results, a cumulative 15.3 million or 76.4% Malaysian radio-listeners consume the 11 Astro Radio brands weekly.

Malaysian’s favourite brands including ERA, HITZ, MY and RAAGA continue to rank No. 1 in their respective languages, while GEGAR retained its leading position with its East Coast fans.

HITZ reinforced its stronghold amongst its English-speaking fan base by growing its listenership to 2.4 million while MIX and LITE also increased its listenership to 1.1 million and 833,000 respectively.

Datuk Jake Abdullah, CEO, Astro Radio, said, “Astro Radio continues to diversify how we engage and reach out to our 15.3 million fans as the radio landscape evolves.

“We continue to own the top Breakfast and Drive shows in the country on ERA with 3.5 million and 3.0 million fans for the respective segments.

“Our focus across all brands is to deliver to our fans a complete brand experience across all touch points that matter.

“Social media has proven to be a great platform, and as testament to the advocacy and devotion we’ve built amongst our communities, on a weekly basis we currently reach 26.6 million fans on social media, and on a monthly basis, our brands receive 11.5 million digital streams.”
