Saatchi & Saatchi merges operations in Malaysia

(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – In its bid to streamline its operations Publics One Malaysia announced that it will be merging its two units, Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia and Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid into one entity.

The consolidation, which took effect in October 2016, will now see the agency to be known as Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid. David Soo will now oversee the entire operations in his current capacity as Managing Director, Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid.

Tan Kien Eng, Group Chief Executive of Publicis One Malaysia shared, “With this consolidation, we are bringing together talents from two prolific brands for the benefit of our existing clients. In essence, we are creating a powerful new agency with Arachnid’s reputation as a home-grown award winning digital agency and Saatchi & Saatchi’s iconic global creative reputation.”

David Soo added, “With this merger, our position is further strengthened as the only full-service agency with digital at its heart. As an agency of the future, we transcend touch points or silos. ”

Currently, brands under the Publicis One Malaysia’s umbrella include Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid, AdSell, Starcom, Mediavest, Optimedia and Liquid Thread. All agency brands continue to exist and operate within the Publicis One set up.
