In celebration of International Women’s Day on 8th March, Pos Malaysia organised a week-long series of activities and forums, dedicated to empowering women, advocating for gender equality, and inspiring inclusivity.
The festivities kicked off at Pos Malaysia’s headquarters with an inspiring opening speech by Group Chief Executive, Charles Brewer, followed by a ceremonial cake cutting, a heartfelt staff pledge, and the joyous distribution of flowers to female employees.
Throughout the week, a series of forums were held at the Pos Malaysia headquarters featuring prominent guests from various industries including Fiona Liao, Group Chief Marketing, Communications & Sustainability Officer of Pos Malaysia, Norlida Azmi, Chief Group People Officer of Axiata Group and Nadiah Tan Abdullah, Chief Human Resource Officer of SP Setia, Dr. Sumitra Nair, Senior Director & Head of Sustainability, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Prof. Tan Sri Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur, Chairman of University College of Yayasan Pahang, Haslinda Alias, Head of Human Capital, Cyberview Sdn. Bhd., Dr. Mohd. Syahir Ismail Azman, Medical Officer, Mudah Healthcare and Kristin Samuel, Senior Job Coach & Trainer for Enabling Academy, Yayasan Gamuda, discussing women’s empowerment, leadership, and gender equality.
The forums covered topics such as ‘Empowering Women in Leadership Roles’, ‘Gender Equality Matters’, ‘Understanding Women’s Mental Health at Work’, and ‘Promoting Sustainable Employment for Neurodivergent Individuals’.
The celebration did not end there as Pos Malaysia organised a nationwide giveaway of over 35,000 carnations, chocolates and bookmarks to honour women at all Pos Malaysia touchpoints and within the Klang Valley community.
By extending these tokens of appreciation across the nation, Pos Malaysia aimed to create a ripple effect of positivity, spreading the message of acknowledgment and empowerment to women in diverse locations and different walks of life.
Throughout the week-long celebration, Pos Malaysia reaffirmed its dedication to promoting gender equality, empowering women, and fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all employees and customers. Grounded in its passion for building trust to connect lives and businesses for a better tomorrow, these efforts reflect Pos Malaysia’s commitment to driving positive change and advancing equality in society.
