(Marketingmagazine.com.my) –  Leo Burnett continues to touch the hearts of all Malaysians with its latest PETRONAS festive web film titled ‘Rubber Boy’.

The web film drew its inspiration from Malaysian values which is about counting our blessings to inspire prosperity and happiness.

‘Rubber Boy’ revolves around the relationship between a mother and her son, capturing facets of their relationship during his childhood.

The web film carries a powerful message, ie. happiness lies in the blessings around us.

“While it may be easy to want what others have, we need to remember we are blessed in our own way and it is important to appreciate what we have,” says James Yap, Creative Director at Leo Burnett Malaysia.

“We believe this story relates to all of us. We are guilty of this at one point or another, where in chasing our dreams, we lose sight of what’s important – our loved ones.

We hope ‘Rubber Boy’ will inspire Malaysians to take a minute to appreciate their greatest blessings,” adds James.

According to Fitri Mydin, Head of Campaign Management at PETRONAS “We are an organisation rooted in Malaysian values and traditions. Leo Burnett Group Malaysia understands this and creatively turned these values and traditions into inspiring stories.”The campaign also includes crowd-sourcing social engagement ideas where a series of comic illustrations will be developed based on Malaysians’ very own Greatest Blessing stories.

Malaysians can submit their Greatest Blessings entries on #greatestblessing or www.petronasofficial.com/festive/cny2016

Submissions are open until 15 February 2016.

PETRONAS has been a client of Leo Burnett Group Malaysia for almost two decades.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
