M&C Saatchi Malaysia has made a series of key appointments as the agency forges ahead in 2021 with new business and hires to strengthen their expertise.

The first is the appointment of Lily Bishnoi as Head of Planning. With over 13 years of experience in strategic planning across customer experience, digital and mainline, she has overseen and managed work in global networks and digital-first start-ups alike.

Having previously led strategic responsibilities in Publicis Groupe Malaysia, Lily has also garnered experience across markets in India, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, winning multiple awards along her journey.

Her journey in advertising began by her co-founding her very own creative boutique agency. Following her entrepreneurial stint, she took a role on the client’s  side to lead a digital transformation project.

The agency has also appointed Lee Shyyi as Creative Group Head to further strengthen the creative and integration teams respectively.

Lee comes with over a decade of graphic design experience and prior to this appointment, she was the Senior Art Director at Leo Burnett Malaysia.

Additionally, Daryl Francis Tan has also been newly appointed as Account Director for the agency. He was previously the Brand Director for VMLY&R and in the past has held various leadership roles at Young & Rubicam and Sambal Lab Sdn Bhd.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
