Most popular youtube ads in Malaysia

Here are the top 10 YouTube Ads people chose to watch for January-June 2017 in Malaysia.

A third of the entries are related to Hari Raya and Chinese New Year.

TNB’s Hari Raya ad in particular took the crown with its light-hearted tale of foiled ‘balik kampung’ plans.

Long-form ads still dominate the list, with nine out of ten of the videos going beyond the traditional 30-seconds TV ad duration.

The format allows brands to tell compelling stories behind their products, such as McDonald’s video highlighting the steps their suppliers go through to ensure each meal served is of high quality.

Brands are also seen to be focusing on telling stories that resonate as their messaging priority.
