Malaysian-made Raya spot ranked Number 3 TVC in the world!

AdForum’s latest report on Best Ads of the Week ranked Publicis Indonesia’s Ramadan commercial for McDonald’s as the third best TVC in the world.

It was the only Malaysian entry that made it to the top five, and the rest in the list were all from America.

The 90-seconds tv spot produced by Directors Think Tank and shot in Malaysia started airing last month in Indonesia.

This is the story about a little kid who is upset that she can’t go to McDonald’s to break her fast along with her family for Ramadan.

Due to the pandemic, many families have opted not to venture out this Ramadan in Indonesia.

But mom and the whole family take extra effort to surprise the little girl. They create a makeshift McDonald’s at their home with home objects.

They also order food via McDelivery and together break their fast at dawn. At the end Dad takes them all  to the actual McDonald’s drive-thru in his car to get ice cream.
