KJ now a DJ

Former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin will begin his new career as a radio announcer next week, reports Berita Harian.

Khairy, who was sacked from Umno last month, will join HotFM’s “Bekpes Hot” team alongside its three other announcers, Johan, AG, and AC Mizal.

The “Bekpes Hot” team is on the air Monday to Friday, between 6am and 10am.

According to the report, Media Prima Audio (MPA) had confirmed Khairy’s appointment.

MPA chief executive officer Nazri Noran said Khairy, the former Rembau MP, was no ordinary politician and that he had a huge following.

“He will offer something different to our listeners.”

Previously, Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim hinted that Khairy may be stepping into new roles in Johor following his sacking from Umno.

He posted an old picture of him with Khairy, with the caption: “Future JDTFC CEO and Johor Youth adviser.”

Khairy was sacked by Umno for breaching party discipline in the 15th general election.
