Despite being yet another year of trials and hurdles brought upon by the ongoing pandemic, and the recent disaster that has hit Malaysia, adding on to grievances and suffering, it has been and is still being proven that the perseverance of people beats everything. And with the Christmas holidays coming up, it is absolutely wonderful to see the breathtaking number of people coming forward to help those in distress.
Given that it was our second consecutive year going through and growing through a pandemic, we levelled up in various aspects of our operations. Offices were kept shut for most of the year, but we catered to our readers and our supporters even better virtually, and organised some amazing events successfully.
Beginning with the Experts Choice Awards – CNY TVC Edition 2021, we then organised two more Experts Choice Awards for Raya TVC’s and Merdeka TVC’s – with an overwhelming number of submissions from the top brands of the country.
We turned the volume slightly higher by successfully organising APPIES Malaysia 2021, and Young Spikes Malaysia 2021, the latter ensuring that a number of Malaysian young guns will be at the main stage of Spikes Asia 2022 with their chance to make us even prouder.
The cherry on top of the cake was Malaysia being chosen to host the long awaited APPIES Asia Pacific 2022, which is coming back after a hiatus of 5 years, and to commemorate that we did something no one else has ever done before – we made a wholesome directory of all the Best Campaigns, Best Agencies, and Best Brands of the year that have won any of the major regional awards. We did it because our dedication to the industry can only be proven by how much we value the work that people put in.
The Malaysian CMO Conference 2021 Main Event is what we’ll be diving into as soon as the Christmas weekend is over.
