BBDO Malaysia announces Donevan Chew as new Executive Creative Director
BBDO has appointed Donevan Chew (pic) as Executive Creative Director of BBDO Malaysia.
His appointment is effective July 1, 2018.
Prior to joining BBDO, Donevan was Deputy Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia, where he spent most of his career; a total of 13 years at the agency across 3 different periods.
Donevan began his career as a copywriter at Grey in 2000, where he quickly rose the ranks. Following this, he spent many years honing his craft at Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather, working on a mix of global and local brands including Nestle, Unilever, Maxis, Pizza Hut, GlaxoSmithKline and Malaysia Airlines.
With a career spanning 18 years, Donevan has won advertising awards from Cannes, the Clio Awards, One Show, D&AD, Spikes Asia and ADFEST. He also has acted as a jury member in the local advertising award show since 2012 and was part of the Grand Jury at the New York Festivals in 2014.
