Visual Retale campaign champions leaders on Malaysia Day.

#CELEBRATINGMALAYSIA features personal messages from Malaysian leaders, displayed across its billboards within the Klang Valley. Sailendra Kanagasundram (Sai), Chief Executive Officer of Visual Retale told MARKETING, “The devastating impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt across the globe. Yet Malaysians have held strong through the crisis, and we are thankful to all parties who have played a role to support the containment. From our healthcare officials who have demonstrated world-class care in facing this pandemic, to the government whose initiatives include financial aid where possible and all frontliners who have worked tirelessly through the Movement Control Order (MCO).”

Participating leaders include Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and leading corporate figures such as Group CEO AirAsia Berhad Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad Tan Sri Dato Seri Vincent Tan, Founder and Group Managing Director of Mah Sing Group Berhad Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum and Managing Director of Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad Datuk Wira (Dr.) Hj. Ameer Ali Mydin.

MARKETING Magazine is not responsible for the content of external sites.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
