Singapore and Hong Kong luxury, travel and lifestyle PR agency Vim & Vigour PR (V&VPR), revealed its growth plans with an expanded service offering and the hiring of director, Charissa Guan, who joins from travel PR firm, The Mango Agency.
Guan joined in August 2019 with the remit of enhancing the agency’s local and regional presence as well as to provide creative counsel across V&VPR’s client portfolio.
The revamped V&VPR website goes live today, already packed with content relevant to the travel, luxury lifestyle, and communications industries.
Enhanced social, digital and research capabilities will be offered to clients specifically within V&VPR’s specialist areas of luxury travel, hospitality, and lifestyle.
Bringing the finer things to life “We brought Charissa in specifically to enhance our current offering and support our growth plans in the region,” says Founder and Managing Director, Lynda Williams.
“She has an excellent track record in the industry and has demonstrated strong experience in growing agencies’ businesses in a creative and strategic manner. We look forward to working together to drive V&VPR’s expansion strategy.”
Guan brings close to a decade of experience across marketing and communications with an expertise in travel, lifestyle and hospitality. Her client portfolio has included tourism boards, hospitality and hotel groups, luxury consumer products as well as award-winning restaurants and bars.
Prior to her time at The Mango Agency, she cut her teeth at The Lo & Behold Group, Four Season Hotels & Resorts (Asia Pacific) and Ate Integrated Communications.
The senior appointment comes at an exciting time for the agency as a new website and revamped social pages are unveiled alongside a bolstered list of services on offer. The relaunched website and LinkedIn page will host pieces on industry trends, insights and thought leadership articles, while lifestyle content continues to take centerstage on Instagram and Facebook.
In line with the new website, V&VPR’s social division has been strengthened with a more holistic digital marketing offering. From social media strategy and brand revitalisation, to content curation, photography services, influencer engagement strategies and online brand partnerships, V&VPR now handles the social media for many clients as a key campaign focus.
At the end of this year, V&VPR will be publishing the first in a series of papers on hot button topics that span their industries — luxury travel and lifestyle as well as communications. Looking to fill a gap in the boutique agency market for rigorous research and intelligence that supports creative communications strategies, V&VPR is focused on initiating research and development capabilities that will soon be offered to all clients.
Since 2013, the independently owned agency has consistently leveraged and elevated some of the world’s most prestigious travel, hospitality and lifestyle brands including Capella Hotels and Resorts, Mr & Mrs Smith Hotels, Scott Dunn, Singita, Swire Hotels, The Quayside, The Sanchaya, and more.
“The ways in which we go about business are changing and we’re dedicated to leading new movements. As Hong Kong, Singapore, and the wider Southeast Asia market are all digital-first consumers, we want our platforms and offerings to reflect that. We’re consistently striving to differentiate in the marketplace and strengthen our foundation for future growth,’’ says Williams.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
