Global communications agency, LEWIS, announced that the firm has been appointed PR agency of record in Malaysia for global electronics and technology service provider, OPPO Malaysia (OPPO).
LEWIS will lead all public relations initiatives as part of a large-scale marketing effort by OPPO. The agency will collaborate to help devise and implement a range of campaigns aimed at building awareness and positive brand reputation for the fast-growing mobile brand.
“Our decision to appoint LEWIS as OPPO PR agency of record is based on their significant experience managing campaigns within the consumer tech industry,” said Chen Lu, Branding Director of OPPO Malaysia. “Given their expertise and track record, we believe that the OPPO brand will make a big splash among consumers across Malaysia.”
“We are thrilled to partner with OPPO and look forward in rolling out our first campaigns in the coming weeks,” said Scott Pettet, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific at LEWIS. “OPPO is a vibrant, fast-growing brand that produces incredible devices. They have always been bold in their marketing approach which syncs in perfectly with the way we like to work as well.”
OPPO has a series of launches planned for 2017, which began with the OPPO R9s.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
