Naga DDB Tribal brings Formidable Four to Creative Fore

Springboarding from a 39-year old legacy, Naga DDB Tribal, one of Malaysia’s largest marketing communications and brand strategy agencies,  is propelling its creative leadership to the next level. Leveraging on a growing suite of in-house capabilities, specialist services from its sister agencies within the Foetus Group (Holding company of Naga DDB Tribal), it continues innovation-led creative experiences embracing new and growing technologies and emerging media platforms.

They will lead the agency’s creative direction alongside Alvin Teoh (Chief Creative Officer) and Nik Radzi (Executive Creative Director).

Vix Chandra – Executive Creative Director

Vix joins Naga DDB Tribal, bringing 18 years of diverse experience with a unique and global perspective on creativity, content marketing, brand strategy and pop culture. Vix has held prominent roles at Red Bull Media House, Austria’s largest agency LOOP and On in Switzerland, where he excelled in integrated marketing, strategic collaborations and content generation.

Key markers include elevating Porsche’s new global brand persona – from traditional luxury to contemporary chic; kicking off On’s recent foray into popular culture and ushering a new age for the running brand; and orchestrating some of Red Bull’s most important key Social Media moments in music and dance.

Vix’s campaign includes works with cultural illuminaries in the likes of Bjork, A$AP Rocky, Eric Cantona, Olivier Rousteing, Onda, Yaeji and Mollie Mills. His creative leadership and ability to integrate entertainment and culture into marketing strategies will be instrumental in advancing the agency’s creative offerings whilst enhancing its Digital Experience and Content Studio services.

Loo Swee Mei – Senior Creative Director

Swee Mei brings nearly two decades of experience in both agency and client roles. Mei’s career has spanned across agencies such as FCB Malaysia, Ogilvy, Dentsu, Spin, and includes leadership roles at Dentsu Shanghai and Shanghai Disney Resort.

Her personalised approach has driven successful campaigns for brands such as Canon, Toyota, Malaysia International Airports, KFC, Playstation 5 and Nespresso. Mei’s expertise in creative ideation, art and design, creative tech and new media will significantly enhance Naga DDB Tribal’s creative leadership and drive its mission of delivering world-class creative solutions.

Alicia Hew – Creative Director

Alicia, recognised as one of Malaysia’s Most Awarded Creatives in 2021, has been a new addition at Naga DDB Tribal in the year 2024. With a robust background at Ogilvy, Bonsey Jayden, McCann, BBDO, and Dentsu Creative, Alicia has led initiatives for brands such as Guinness, Maybelline, Nike, Snickers, Wrigley’s, and Mamee Monster.

Her strategic communication skills and creative direction align perfectly with the agency’s vision of creating impactful and resonant campaigns.

Ong Poh Jet – Associate Creative Director

Poh Jet represents another recent addition for Naga DDB Tribal in 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in design and art direction from renowned agencies such as M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy, and Bonsey Jaden. His stints have seen him contribute to brands such as Pizza Hut, Coca-Cola, Astro, and KFC.

Poh Jet’s ability to lead and inspire design and creative teams elevates the agency’s visual and design output to deliver in its mission to create experiences that captivate and inspire audiences.
