IPG Mediabrands the global media arm of Interpublic Group announced the relaunch Ingenuity to Ansible, a mobile and technology agency.

Ingenuity was launched in the local market in 2015 and with the relaunch of Ansible in the Malaysian market, the agency will now be provided the services of a full-service mobile marketing and technology agency offering services including strategy, media planning and buying, marketing and analytics as well as UX, creative, technology, development and enterprise solutions.

Ansible in Malaysia is helmed by Managing Director Manu Gopinathan, who leads a 30-person multidisciplinary team comprised of designers, web and mobile developers and solution architects.
Over the past two years the team has delivered measurable results for clients across different verticals including retail, Telco and banking and, in 2015, won a bronze for Campaign Asia’s Specialist Agency of the Year.

Gopinathan shared, “With Ansible, we are excited to offer innovative mobile and technology solutions such as AI Bots, Beacons and IoT solutions to clients in Malaysia which will strengthen our offering. Mobile is the first screen for a majority of Malaysians, and building solutions centred on this device would be paramount for brands moving forward.”

As part of the launch, clients will enjoy access to global publisher ratecards, exclusive technology partnerships, proprietary mobile media planning tools, best practices and patented technologies including “HARK™” a second- screen gaming technology and the “MiBeacons” platform.
Bala Pomaleh, CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia commented, “The expansion of Ingenuity into Ansible is timely given the explosion of mobile opportunities and technological advancement.

Mediabrands Malaysia is now poised to offer best-in- class end-to- end solutions encompassing media, mobile, technology, programmatic, performance, analytics, social, content and creative. These synergies in our service offering will strengthen our position to help marketers successfully navigate the current challenging environment.”

Ansible’s global footprint now includes 22 offices across 14 countries globally.

This is one of the many changes announced by IPG Mediabrands as of late. Last month the agency announced the launch of its new Programmatic AdTech unit, Cadreon and December marked the rebrand of its social media agency.

MARKETING Magazine is not responsible for the content of external sites.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
