Recently, MARKETING Magazine hosted a talk for Malaysia’s top CMOs (Chief Marketing Officers) at the Royal Lake Club under the auspices of the global Marketing Academy.
Supported by media solutions company Visual Retale, the closed event featured Marketing Academy CEO Sherilyn Shackell talking about the latest trends and the changing role of the CMO globally.
Sherilyn spent over a decade developing leadership skills of top talent in Marketing, Media & Advertising all around the world. Through The Marketing Academy Fellowship Program, which runs in EMEA, USA and APAC, she has worked closely with almost 300 CMOs helping equip themselves with the capability required to lead, create, change, and navigate the C Suite.
MARKETING magazine publisher Prof Harmandar Singh spoke about doing regular talk sessions in 2024 for CMOs featuring leading CEOs and thanked Sailendra Kanagasundram, the Founder & CEO of Visual Retale, for his support and partnership.
“In conjunction with the coming CMO Awards, we found it befitting to invite Sherilyn from the UK to share her inspiring experiences about leadership and innovation in marketing. Next year, I also plan to publish a commemorative coffee table book featuring Malaysia’s leading CMOs,” said Prof Ham, who is also President of the Malaysian CMO Awards.
