APPIES Malaysia is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies to present their best marketing campaigns to the industry. Despite hosting this event virtually due to COVID-19, this is the only event in Malaysia where Live Presentations meet Live Judging.
This year saw a stronger and larger field of entries, a more robust lineup of judges and FREE viewing of the judging and presentations over a 2-day Weekend Festival which recorded 2847 views!
The judging criteria covered the Challenge (10%), Thinking (30%), Execution (30%) and Results (30%).
“I am grateful to the 35-member Jury Panel of marketing leaders for reviewing the case studies and judging the Live Presentations,” says Prof Harmandar Singh aka Ham, President of APPIES Malaysia. “From a field of almost 90 submissions, 69 campaigns made the final shortlist.”
“The scoring was very close and after a final session with both our 2021 Head of Jury (Santharuban T Sundaram) and APPIES Malaysia Advisor (Mohamed Adam Wee), 29 campaigns rose to the top (some multi-metal winners). We also agreed to award Certificates of Excellence to all winners, including seven Certificates of Excellence to Merit winners.”
“If you won, you deserve to be APPIE! All winning marketing campaigns will be showcased individually in our special Winners Showcase every week as we have done in the past. Due to the lockdown, there is no Awards Night this year, but we have compiled a Winners Showreel for all to view,” adds Ham.
