Entropia was crowned one of Adweek’s Fastest Growing Agencies in the world!
Outranking well-known global competitors with 210% growth from 2017-2019, Adweek ranked Entropia third in the Top 10 Large Agencies category (over 200 employees), and fifth in the Top 10 International Agencies category (both large and small), in its second annual Adweek 100: Fastest Growing Awards.
Hosted by the international marketing and advertising publication, the virtual event celebrated top global agencies and solution providers – large and small – whose industry presence is on the rise, with the distinction awarded to organisations that have achieved exceptional growth over the past three years.
Adweek’s top 10 large agencies category recognise companies (from both the US and abroad) that serve worldwide audiences; while the top 10 international agencies span every corner of the globe outside the US.
Prashant Kumar, Entropia founder and senior partner, commented, “We launched Entropia at a time when the economic climate in Malaysia was quite weak, but tough times often provide the perfect spur for change. Starting from a white sheet, we continually seek to reconceive what marketing of the future could look like. We take our promises to our clients seriously and have built a collegial culture of curiosity and inventiveness. And this has helped catapult Entropia to the fastest growing large agency in the Asia-Pacific region, and the third fastest in the world!”
“This accolade is for our clients and the relentless team Entropia. We couldn’t have done it without their courage, love and imagination. ”
Founded in July 2016, the next generation consulting-meets-agency has since grown to 65+ clients and 220+ people, operating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Its first international expansion, Entropia CBR, was established in Manila, Philippines in 2018; and in 2019, Entropia acquired the 360-video production business from Singapore-based Virtual Reality company, VOSTOK VR, to further expand its reach.
Jeffrey Litvack, Adweek’s chief executive officer, said, “2020 has been a challenging year, but these agencies and solution providers have shown how innovation breeds success. Everyone in the advertising community can learn something from their examples.”
“The only constant in advertising is change,” added Lisa Granatstein, Adweek’s editor, SVP, programming. “The best way to see where the industry is headed is to see who’s leading the pack, and Adweek 100: Fastest Growing always has a few surprises.”
Entropia has made bold forays into AI, XR and IOT areas to help businesses make the best of Industry 4.0 – having launched Aladdin, a new service offering bringing IoT to consumer businesses, and Entropia Extended Reality (EXR) to bring immersive technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality to its client base.
In the last year alone, Entropia doubled down investments in areas such as eCommerce, rapidly setting up direct-to-consumer plays for its clients, as well as technology consulting.
To be eligible for the Adweek’s Fastest Growing list, companies had to provide three years of earned revenue from 2017 to 2019, with at least $250,000 of revenue in 2017.
Participating agencies were required to certify the accuracy of their reported revenue figures, and Adweek performed additional auditing to determine the accuracy of the submissions.
