The NexGen Show Episode 2 Dives Into The Ups & Downs Of Agency Life

The festive season is coming around again, and agencies are busier than ever.

In this week’s episode of The NexGen Show, guest speaker Nazir Fuad dives into the ups and downs of agency life, including late nights, troublesome clients, and what keeps him in the game despite it all.

“I’ve learned over the years to just take a step back and enjoy the process. Enjoy the late nights, enjoy brainstorming with your coworkers, enjoy ideating. If you get the pitch, that’s great, but if you don’t, just learn from it and move on,” Nazir shares in the episode.

Hosted by Malaysian advertising veteran Prof. Harmandar Singh from MARKETING Magazine Asia, the weekly podcast provides a platform for up-and-coming talents in advertising, media, and marketing to share their aspirations and concerns about the industry.

“In the past, I’ve had clients walk out of meeting rooms mid-presentation because it didn’t align with exactly what they wanted. You just take it as a learning experience and make sure to learn and do better from it,” says Nazir.

“I don’t take anything too personally anymore. I think in this industry you have to have a bit of a thick skin,” he adds.
